Tahinat el Beid (Tahini with Eggs) - Lebanese recipe - Middle Eastern cooking classes

Tahinat el Beid (Tahini with Eggs) is a traditional Lebanese recipe for a classic dip of eggs and parsley with garlic in a sesame oil and lemon juice base.

Ingredients :
  •     2 tablespoons sesame oil
  •     lemon juice
  •     water
  •     1 clove garlic, crushed
  •     1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  •     salt
  •     1 hard-boiled egg
 Preparation
  1. Put the oil in a salad bowl and add lemon juice drop by drop – the quantity depends on how astringent you want it. Thin with a little water.
  2. Add the garlic, parsley and salt and the egg very finely chopped. Sprinkle on cayenne.
  3. Serve as s dipping sauce for bread.
